Tyranny of Distance is a ery cool looking place just off Chapel St Windsor Vic not far from Windsor railway station

Decorated with bits from the old garage workshop that was on this site for many years

The coffee is excellent, the service is even better and I recommend the chilli eggs

Cheap prices too

This place may turn into a bar late at night

Providing unique surroundings in a rustic stables like environment , this popular little cafe is hidden down a back lane in Balaclava. The queue of people waiting outside is testament to the cafe’s popularity as punters wait to squeeze into the communal inside space.
Totally vegetarian and /or vegan it provides some interesting combinations of the freshest ingredients and throws up flavoursome and nutritious food choices. The Coffee is superb , and the tea is leaves in a teapot , with milk in a seperate container, just the way your nanna used to make it .

Tucked away in the picturesque end of Acland st , this great little cafe , produces artisan inspired baked goods , sublime coffee , and excellent snacks served on their freshly made , delicious bread .

The pizzas at this sister cafe to Banff are so cheap you can dine out with coffee for less than $10

The coffee is good

It is order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table

Huge outdoor area

It is licensed so any money you save on meals can be spent on booze

At the front of the more upmarket vu de monde French restaurant,, the Cafe Vue is on street level on teh corner of a laneway

The coffee is great, the seating outside is under cover and the food is excellent and only the same price as any old cafe

No sisters in sight the day I visited

There was great coffee and cakes in a relaxed atmosphere

The decore is kind of grunge

The best coffe shop I have ever seen in a suburban shopping strip

Worth the trip to the ‘burbs just for the coffee

Wow! This place is a bargain

Pizzas for half what nearly everyone else charges

Located opposite the parklands in Fitzroy St St Kilda, it is in the Banff building that has been there since 1942

This strip of Fitzroy St is becoming very popular amongst cafe goers, with a choice of half a dozen cafes

However if you want to save some money, this place is it

The decor is older style with posters and stuff

The coffee is great and the food menu is the best value and also interesting and fresh.

It is on a corner not far from Dimmeys, over the road in Swant St, a bot down towards the station and not too far from other cafes

The coffee is brilliant!! Absloutely fantastic

I had a long mac and a long black

The price was $3 in July 2009 and they have a loyalty card offering a free coffee after buying 5

They have really nice high steel stools that line the window counter or bench, so you can look out onto Swan Street and people watch in comfort

This place really is very good

Located in the incredibly busy lunch time spot, Degraves St , there are 4 booths inside at the back as well as the normal tables

The booths are very cool and retro

Tables outside of course, the norm for Degraves St

The coffee is very good, the service is by cute backpackers

The bruschetta and soup are an absolute bargain

They are choosy over who sits at the booths , prefering to seat 4 people in each

Tables outside in busy Glenhuntly Rd have a outdoor heaters and a see through canopy

Inside plenty of space and windows that opn right up for the summer

L’Aperitivo has the BEST coffee in Australia

Consistently over several years and 2 different owners they have employed excellent baristas and used top quality coffee

Mind you, it is strong

They have a loyalty card that offers one free in 10

The food is overpriced except for the Bruschetta and one night a week they have a special

I highly recommend their strong black
